Senior Showcase Co-Lighting Designer

This was my final show as a senior at Wagner College, I got to work with my good friend Cameron Russell as a Co-Designer.

This was a first for the entire college. Because of the COVID crisis, we were unable to have any guests in the theatre, so we decided to film our show. We used the concept from the beginning, molding the show around the camera. Below are some of our production phots and some of the process photos of some of the practical’s that I wired for the show.

Dance Project 2020 Lighting Designer

Piece: Winter

This show was very interesting. I got the chance to be the lighting designer for the winter piece of the show. I was very excited to work in the Wagner College Stage One. This venue is particularly interesting to me because of the fact that it is filled with primarily LED fixtures. This means that I ended up spending a lot of my time working on color matching the fixtures and working on getting my desired effect. In the end I am very happy with how the show turned out.

This was one of the most amazing productions that I have had the pleasure of working on to date. I worked primarily as the effect and moving light designer/programmer. This was an especially fun role for me because I got a chance to really work with a large variety of lights. My biggest accomplishment is the video that is in the mix to the right. I spent a lot of time with the new ETC Releves learning their quirks and different abilities. I think that the end result of the show was truly amazing and inspired. I look forward to the next production that I get to do on the Main Stage of Wagner College.

Factory Church System Integration

For this job I was helping a church change over from using the Chauvet Dj lighting control application for all of their lighting to an ETC Nomad. This was a really fun job to do because I got to work with my friend and set up some basic color palettes and position palettes. I also got to spend a lot of time teaching him how to build effects and learn the ins and outs of the EOS system.

Wagner College Theater

This was a new experience for everyone at Wagner. For this show I was working with Conchetta Orowitz. She was the A1 and I was the A2. For the first time we set up the theater so that it was going to be just her at the sound board and I would be back stage with the receiver racks monitoring them through the show. It was a truly fun experience and the show went off without a hitch.

This was a challenging and amazing show to work on. From a technical point of view we were working with a lot of new tools that we had not had before in this space. This was the first show that we were able to use six brand new ETC Releves in. They are truly amazing lights to work with. The modularity of them make any maintenance or work that needs to be done on them an easy fix. This was also the first time that we were using the new City Theatrical Qolor Flex Decoders and their new RGBCW LED strips. These were a great tool to use and the instillation process was easy.

I worked for Carowinds in North Carolina on their Seasons of Cirque show. This show was produced by Les Productions Haut-vol. I loved this show because of the amazing cast and crew that I had the opportunity to work with.
